Family Photoshoot in Center Parcs Longford Forest | A 60th Wedding Anniversary Celebration

I love photographing in Center Parcs Longford Forest.

As a documentary family photographer based near Center Parcs Longford Forest, I specialise in capturing natural, unposed moments of families enjoying their stay, whether it’s a surprise anniversary, a weekend getaway, or just some real time in nature.

When the news first broke back on April 1st, 2015 that Center Parcs was coming to Longford, we all questioned it and wondered if it was some kind of (very clever) April Fools! I’d spent six brilliant years at school in Ballymahon Co. Longford and genuinely couldn’t believe that one day, we might be holidaying right there.

Fast forward ten years and it’s our favourite spot for a break. And the best part? It’s just over 15 minutes from my front door. So handy, (especially that time I forgot my little lady’s coat and was able to fly home and back before anyone even noticed!)

Why I Love Family Photography in Center Parcs Longford Forest

There’s just something about Center Parcs. It’s a little bit magic.

You can do as much or as little as you like. There’s the Subtropical Swimming Paradise, bikes, great food and coffee, peaceful forest walks, and the cosiest lodges. And if you’re lucky, you might spot a deer or two on your way to the Aqua Sana Spa!

It’s also one of my favourite places for relaxed, natural family photography Center Parcs Longford Forest is full of fun and made for memory-making.

A 60th Wedding Anniversary to Remember

This lovely Cavan family came from far and wide — from Cavan, the UK, and even New York to celebrate Mary and Ron’s Diamond wedding anniversary (that's 60 years!) in Center Parcs Longford Forest.

After a few busy days enjoying Center Parcs, they invited the couple over to one of the lodges for what was supposed to be a quiet evening. But what was waiting? A full-on surprise celebration. Four generations gathered, the kids and their kids and their kids, and a few neighbours and friends sprinkled in. There was a BBQ full of best very best of Barry Johns meat all the always from Cavan, music, video messages from loved ones afar, old photos, laughter, cake (with a piece missing!) and even a bit of hot tub swimming from the kids.

It was an evening filled with genuine joy and emotions, loads of those tight hugs and head back laughs, and just bursting with love and I had the absolute pleasure of being there with my camera, documenting the whole thing.
